HAPPY BIRTHDAY SASHA!  Our baby girl has grown so much over the past year.  She’s crawling and walking along the edges of furniture.  We can’t wait until she starts walking all by herself.  She’s still a happy baby, unless you take something out of her hands, turn your back to her, leave the room, or fail to pick up the toy she threw out of the playpen.  We love her little personality.  More...

Yep!  Our little girl is 9 months old today.  She has developed so much already!

In addition to formula, she's drinking juice (half juice and half water) and eating those Gerber® 1st Foods and the like.  Sorry...no chicken or pork chops just yet!  She continues to sleep soundly throughout the night.  We'll either wake up to Sasha's crying or to her giggling.  She has four tiny teeth (incisors) coming in at the bottom.  Jamesia said they remind her of dolphin teeth.  One day I wasn't paying attention, and Sasha BIT me!  It HURT!  I didn't know she had that much power in those little jaws!  Sasha's vocabulary recently has expanded from "ooh", "ahh", and "ehh" to include "ga", "gi", "da", and "di".  It sounds like she is saying "dada" all the time.  Can I count that as her first word?  Does she HAVE to refer to me intentionally for it to count?  More...

In January, Sasha got to meet Great-Grandmom Elizabeth Harris. She made her way from Alabama to spend time with her grandchildren in Philly, too. She and Sasha enjoyed every minute of their time together that day. We’re looking forward to a longer visit next time!

We hope you all had a merry and blessed Christmas!  Just like Thanksgiving, we surrounded ourselves with family and rejoiced in the Spirit!

Lots of Sasha’s relatives came from out of town to visit for Thanksgiving at Grandmom and Granddad’s (Stephanie and Louis, Sr.) house: Great Grandparents Jean and Jesse, Great Uncle Jesse, Great Aunt Kim, Cousin Armani (“Mani”), Great Uncle Bruce, Great Aunt Roz, Cousin “Little” Bruce, “God Aunt” Shiann, and “God Cousin” Londyn.  GG (Grandmom Brenda) was there too, and Goldie stayed out of trouble! Sasha had to undergo a treatment for jaundice through her second and third day.  The doctor gave us a good summary of her condition and the treatment process.  The level of bilirubin in her blood was not too high, but higher levels could be detrimental to her development.  More...
